In 2013, the Santa Fe Waldorf School will celebrate its 30th anniversary. In 1983, a group of parents, who believed strongly in providing Waldorf education for their children and for the Santa Fe community, established the school with a kindergarten, 1st and combined 2nd and 3rd grades. The school has now pre-K through Grade 12 and the first High School graduation took place in June 2005. Since the modest beginnings, the enrollment has grown to 250 students and the campus has grown to 13 wooded acres in southeast Santa Fe.
The Santa Fe Waldorf School is an independent, nonprofit organization with dual accreditation through the Association of Waldorf Schools of North America and the National Council for Private School Accreditation.
