Graduate College for Waldorf Education - Scholarships

December 2015

The Graduate College for Waldorf Education at Alanus University supports research, the promotion of doctoral students, the advancement of academic science and development of young academics in the field of Waldorf education. It aims to examine Waldorf pedagogy in the context of the educational sciences and related fields in a discourse-oriented manner. It offers a structured qualification program for doctoral students in the form of research colloquia and study events, closely networked within a coherent research program.

The Graduate College is the academic responsibility of Alanus University. It cooperates with other universities, both nationally and internationally. It will be awarding PhD scholarships providing financial support and material resources for a period of 3 years. The doctoral candidates have access to a research-specific infrastructure: working space on the premises of the Graduate College; mentoring; a library dedicated to Waldorf and progressive education, educational science and related fields; databases; a website as a research forum; relevant conferences, colloquia, and – according to the individual research focus – participation at congresses. Structured mentoring processes and quality management concepts ensure the efficiency of the program.
